United States In the United States, over 3 consecutive days, almost 140 employees and 2 of their family members volunteered in 12 activities (3 on-site, 7 off-site and 2 remote). It was the first volunteering activity for the MAPFRE USA community, in support of 7 local and 5 national organizations. Over the 3 days the volunteers made: • 28 stars for the Stars of Hope organization. • More than 1,600 bags for Safety Quest. • 263 Paracord key holder straps. • 30 letters for Love for Our Elders. • 43 cards for St. Jude’s Hospital patients. In addition, volunteers provided support to the following organizations: • Care Central VNA & Hospice health center through fall clean-up chores. • Worcester Community Action Council and Dudley Schools through reading sessions to their students. • Webster Dudley Food Share food bank, packing food boxes. • The Gladys E Kelly Public Library, providing logistical support for a community event. • Tri-Valley Elder Care, making improvements to the building. Spain On December 17th, Fundación MAPFRE held its Solidarity Market for the tenth consecutive year, with the aim of raising funds for various social causes. In this edition, about 2,800 people visited the more than 20 stands and enjoyed recreational activities and musical performances. More than 80 volunteers from Fundación MAPFRE collaborated to make this initiative possible. This edition raised more than 37,000 euros. Thirteen other organizations also took part, offering their solidarity products at the market and directly managing the proceeds from their stalls. Proceeds from the Fundación MAPFRE stands went to Fundación Ana Carolina Díez Mahou, which helps children with neuromuscular and mitochondrial diseases. Among the different activities that took place, was an outstanding performance from Fundación MAPFRE’s Inclusive Social Choir, comprising volunteers from the organization and Fundación Gil Gayarre, conducted by Fundación Acción por la Música, which sang for the first time in public.
