La bioqu\u00edmica espa\u00f1ola\u00a0\/span>Margarita Salas\/strong>\u00a0ha fallecido este jueves en Madrid. Trabajadora incansable, trabaj\u00f3 en Estados Unidos con el Premio Nobel Severo Ochoa y a su vuelta a Espa\u00f1a,\u00a0\/span>sus trabajos en la investigaci\u00f3n en gen\u00e9tica molecular revolucionaron esta disciplina\/strong>. La asturiana fue la primera mujer miembro de dos Reales Academias, la de Ciencias y la Espa\u00f1ola de la Lengua.\/p>\n
A lo largo de su trayectoria\u00a0\/span>recibi\u00f3 importantes premios\/strong>, aunque tal y como ella misma declar\u00f3, haciendo suyas las palabras de Severo Ochoa al recibir en el a\u00f1o 2009 el premio Fundaci\u00f3n MAPFRE a Toda una Vida Profesional: “No tengo ning\u00fan m\u00e9rito, porque he hecho en mi vida aquello que me apasiona: investigar\/strong>“.\/p>\n
Cient\u00edfica comprometida, pele\u00f3 por darle a la mujer el puesto que le corresponde en la ciencia, luch\u00f3 por los derechos de los cient\u00edficos y por conseguir para ellos m\u00e1s recursos, y dedic\u00f3 gran parte de su esfuerzo en la\u00a0\/span>formaci\u00f3n de j\u00f3venes investigadores\/strong>.\/p>\n
Desde aqu\u00ed enviamos este merecido recuerdo a una\u00a0\/span>mujer luchadora y una profesional brillante\/strong>\u00a0\/span>que motiv\u00f3 la vocaci\u00f3n de muchos cient\u00edficos y cient\u00edficas que hoy siguen sus pasos.
