Current Project

Fundación Educacional Barnechea considers education to be a vital tool in personal development that helps people integrate into society better and enjoy greater opportunities for personal growth. The School Support Program was set up to address a gap in the homes for girls who have been exposed to abusive situations and who, for the most part, are easily frustrated, have little self-esteem and a low academic level that makes it difficult for them to continue with their studies. Therefore, 20 children from the Las Creches Home, aged between 4 and 18, and another 20 children from the Pleyade Home, aged between 3 and 9, receive this educational support that offers them opportunities for development. Both homes are located in Santiago,

This program provides personal training that allows girls to recognize their value as individuals, deserving of affection, respect and opportunities. It develops their school skills and abilities to the fullest, emphasizing quality education as a tool for helping them choose a brighter future and integrate into society as professional or technical women capable of contributing and being economically self-sufficient.

Through this program, dynamic school support is provided to help the girls develop the skills they need, by means of teaching materials and recreational activities backed up by an excellent professional team with a social vocation. This team oversees the program and offers support to the educator responsible for organizing the school work in the home, and it also provides intervention tools and instruments for training the educational teams from the homes as well as the families: creating habits and routines, helping them with study, reading, sport, and so on.
