This project monitors and supports the beneficiaries on the basis of their specific needs
Current Project
Fundación Nuestros Hijos, in collaboration with Fundación MAPFRE, has rolled out this project to provide care to children and young people suffering from chronic diseases so they can get back to their studies in a protected environment suitable for their development.
The aim of the project is to promote the school and social adaptation of children and young people in vulnerable situations, facilitating their school and social integration / reintegration, via a comprehensive, biopsychosocial approach. The project also involves checking up on their progress and helping with any of the students needs as well as those of their families and even the educational center.
The teams at the foundation’s Teaching Hospitals and Rehabilitation Center are highly specialized professionals in their respective areas, enabling the beneficiaries to continue their studies, and stimulating and developing cognitive, emotional and social skills during their treatment, recovery and rehabilitation.
Fundación Nuestros Hijos was set up in 1991 by a group of parents who were inspired by the experience of having a child with cancer. Since then, this institution has been working to offer a quality service free of charge to children with cancer and their low-income families.
