AMIS offers psychosocial and educational counseling services to children and adolescents
The “Semear” project benefits more than 250 underprivileged minors

The “Semear” project is aimed at reducing the risk of social exclusion of children and adolescents between five and 12 years of age living in Morumbi, in the city of São Paulo. The Associação Morumbi de Integração Social (AMIS) offers free psychosocial and educational counseling services to these children and adolescents outside school hours.
Through recreational workshops in which cultural, musical, and sporting activities are combined with fun games, values such as autonomy, leadership and integration, which are so necessary for their future, are worked on at the same time.
All the children receive personalized support, allowing them to maximize their abilities and skills. Each day the spend at the after-school center, they also receive two healthy and balanced meals.
Fundación MAPFRE has been involved in this project since December 2012, and its collaboration allows 253 children and young people to access these services, which are essential for their personal development.
Founded in 1982 as Sociedade Beneficente da Igreja Batista do Morumbi, the purpose of AMIS is to provide support services to the members of the Vila Andrade and Morumbi communities. It is currently implementing eight integration projects in the area.
