The personal data we process at Fundación MAPFRE have been obtained by means of Fundación MAPFRE having received your professional contact details in accordance with current data protection legislation.

Fundación MAPFRE processes all the personal data obtained for the following purposes:
- To establish and/or consolidate professional relationships with the entity you represent;
- In order to send information on Fundación MAPFRE Activities.
- Invitations to events; and
- Sending communications or newsletters
For how long do we keep your personal data?
Personal data obtained are kept for a period determined by the following criteria: (i) period of conservation dictated by law; (ii) compliance with any responsibilities derived from the processing of the data; and, (iii) request by the interested party for their removal according to circumstances.
What are the legal grounds for processing your data?
The legal basis for processing your data for the purposes included in the section “For what purpose do we process your personal data?” is Fundación MAPFRE’s legitimate interest as data controller. This legitimate interest is justified by:
- Fundación MAPFRE having obtained your data by receiving your professional contact details in a professional trade fair, or in an event in which you have provided your data to Fundación MAPFRE or through any type of communication which has the purpose of consolidating a professional relationship between Fundación MAPFRE and the entity you represent and, which, therefore, is legitimate.
- The type of data processed (only identifying and contact data). Due to not processing specially protected data the interests and fundamental rights of the interested party are respected.
- The interested party’s ability to clearly and easily object to the handling of their data at any point.
To which recipients will your data be communicated?
Fundación MAPFRE may only communicate your data for the exclusive purposes detailed in the section “For what purpose do we process your personal data?”, to Fundación MAPFRE Guanarteme, to public administrations and other individuals or legal entities with whom the Fundación MAPFRE establishes collaboration agreements, all of which applies whether or not any operation has been formalized such as, where applicable, once the existing relationship has been terminated and without the need for this to be communicated in each of the first communications made with the aforementioned recipients.
Within the framework of the communications indicated in the previous paragraph, international data transfers may be made to third countries or international organizations for which the European Commission has or has not issued an adequacy decision. International transfers to countries unable to guarantee an adequate level of protection will only be made in exceptional circumstances and will only take place when it is essential for the appropriate development of the relationship.
What are your rights when you provide your data?
Under the terms and within the scope established in current legislation, any person has the right to:
- confirm if Fundación MAPFRE is processing the personal data that concern them or not, to have access to them and to the information regarding their processing.
- request that any inaccurate data are corrected.
- request the data to be removed when, among other reasons, they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, in which case Fundación MAPFRE will stop processing the data except in the exercise or defense of possible claims
- request the limitation of the data processing, in which case Fundación MAPFRE will only process the data with their consent, except in the exercise or defense of possible claims or with a view to protecting the rights of other individuals or legal entities or for reasons of important public interest to the European Union or to a certain Member state.
- object to their data being processed, in which case Fundación MAPFRE will stop processing the data, except in the defense of possible claims.
- receive, in a structured format, in common use and machine readable, the personal data that concern him or her that have been provided to Fundación MAPFRE, or request Fundación MAPFRE to transfer them directly to someone else’s responsibility wherever technically possible.

Interested parties may submit a claim to the Spanish Data Protection Agency through the website designed for the purpose by the appropriate Supervisory Authority, especially if they feel they have not received satisfaction in exercising their rights.
