ADAS systems
Towards safe future mobility
Given that the human factor is one of the main causes of accidents on the roads, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are here to help. The Spanish Department of Transport estimates that if cars were equipped with advanced driver assistance systems, 57% of accidents would be avoided or their consequences significantly reduced.
ADAS have revolutionized the world of motor vehicle safety. Thanks to these technological solutions, safety is increased, driving is simplified and the human factor is reduced. ADAS can even control the car’s steering and/or brakes to avoid a collision or lessen its consequences, as well as providing information about the surrounding area and alerting the driver of hazardous situations.
Given how great their benefits are, the EU has determined that, as of 2022, all new vehicles must incorporate mandatory electronic assistants to protect the safety of drivers, car occupants, pedestrians and other road users.
