Protection for the people of Guatemala
We have acquired a machine for manufacturing face masks
In Guatemala, as in every other country affected by the outbreak of COVID-19, there is a shortage of face masks. Due to sky-high demand, procurement on international markets is very difficult.
Fundación MAPFRE aims to alleviate this situation by the acquisition in Taiwan of a machine that transforms nonwoven fabrics and raw materials to make protective face masks fused to elastic tape.
The machine will be delivered to the Government of the Republic of Guatemala so they can get this essential piece of protective equipment to the general public.
In addition, we are helping to cover the costs of installing electrical wiring and the waste water and sludge handling system at the hospital that they are setting in Santa Lucia Cotzumalguapa, Department of Escuintla, sector Pacific Coast of Guatemala.
