The best measure to prevent the propagation of COVID-19 is social distancing. However, in many cases this is impossible. Healthcare professionals, caregivers of senior citizens and disabled people, and the associations that offer assistance to people at high risk of exclusion, cannot simply stay at home. Their work is essential for the sick and high-risk groups.

Fundación MAPFRE aims to help them protect themselves through the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE) and increase the resources they need to do their jobs: medical material, ventilators, the installation of emergency medical units and field hospitals, and carrying out PCR diagnostic tests to identify COVID-19.

As of today, all our efforts are geared towards helping society combat this pandemic. In total, we are donating 20 million euros to help support the work of those who are engaged in fighting the coronavirus on the front line.
