By remembering we can ensure that there are no more victims

Road Safety
Everything changes in just a second. A mother is run over, a son loses his life because of another driver’s carelessness, a bus leaves a young woman paralyzed, a brother never comes home again. These are real stories of road accident victims. And there are many more. Every year, millions of traffic accidents occur worldwide, in which many people lose their lives or suffer irreversible consequences.
On the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Accident Victims we want to keep their memory alive, and by remembering them, prevent their stories from happening again. This year, moreover, we join the special acknowledgment of the safety, fire and health forces who devote their lives, day after day, to ensuring that there are no more victims.
On this very special day, Sunday 15th November, we want to remember all the victims and stand by their families. To do so we share the words of those who suffered the loss of a loved one or those whose lives were changed by an incident. Their testimonies can help us make a difference. Together we can achieve zero road victims.
