The countdown begins…
Meet the twelve finalists of the sixth edition of our awards
A digital app that makes reading easier for people who have lost their sight; an accelerator that promotes physical exercise as a therapy for the recovery of children and teenagers with cancer; a conversion kit to propel boats and ships with green hydrogen; an intelligent traffic light that guides visually impaired people; a developer of 3D-printed cranial prostheses for cancer patients; a job ecosistem that connects people over 55 with start-ups; a shower sponge that allows women to examine their breasts and recognise tumours more easily; an app designed for non-digital elderly people; motorcycle taxis powered by electric and solar energy; a points and rewards system to raise awareness among drivers about the importance of not using mobile phones at the wheel; an app that gives emergency warnings in case of falls; and a virtual mannequin to train healthcare workers to deal with various medical conditions in children. The twelve projects selected to participate in the final of our awards are an example of how talent, creativity and effective use of the technology available to us can bring innovative and unique solutions to everyday problems.
The projects selected from among the 347 submitted, coming from countries such as Spain, Germany, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala and the United States, will compete on 24 May in Madrid to be named the best project in each of the three categories.
From now on, all finalists will receive support and guidance from IE University to present and develop their proposals and will become part of Red Innova, our social innovation ecosystem.
