Revitalizing the rural and less populated areas of Spain is one of the country’s objectives for the coming decades, as these zones cover 85% of the national territory and are home to almost 8 million people. The scarcity of job opportunities and the increasingly limited access to essential services such as healthcare or welfare services drive the continuous loss of the young population, leaving the most vulnerable behind.
